02 Our Story

Born on an island of quiet contrasts

Salt & Lava began on Lanzarote, where the Atlantic meets dark volcanic shores and whitewashed villages glow against ochre hills. It is an island of extremes that somehow feels completely calm.

Every piece is designed and personalised by hand here on the island, in small batches. Each takes its cue from the landscape: the curve of a dune, the colour of evening light over Famara, the stillness when the trade winds drop.

We make things to be kept: objects that carry a little of the island home with you and quietly change the way a room feels.
